Meet The Minds Behind The Design
Dekay & Tate Interiors was founded in 2019, by partners Nina Dekay Grauer and Eleanor Tate Trepte. As fate would have it, the duo met in Palm Beach and became quick friends. It wasn’t long before they discovered they both shared a keen interest and deep understanding of art, fashion, and most importantly, interior design. Nina and Eleanor knew their friendship and mutual passion for design was too profound to ignore, thus pushing each other to take a leap of faith, and soon enough Dekay & Tate Interiors was born. Together as partners, they would build off their previous experiences from respected East Coast interior design firms and prominent art galleries to cultivate a portfolio of alluring interior designs.

NINA DEKAY GRAUER
Designer & Founding Partner
Nina Dekay Grauer, principal designer and founding partner, reigns from the polished bearings of Greenwich, Connecticut and Manhattan. Nina began her education studying Studio Arts and Marketing at the College of Charleston, before following her passion for art and interior design at The New School. Following this remarkable chapter of education, she moved onto learning the tricks of the trade from some of the best known names in interior design. Nina flourished in her work at Cullman & Kravis in New York City, and with Leta Austin Foster & Associates in Palm Beach.

Nina’s mother, Laurie Grauer, instilled inspiration by exposing Nina to the beautiful, complex world of interior design very early in life. Through Laurie’s own exemplary passion and knack to cultivate and alter a space in a way that inspires even the most gifted interior designers in the business, Nina was shown the ropes at a young age. Much like those who have been mentioned above, she has the innate ability to transform any room into a warm, welcoming and sometimes very funky space that is incredibly adored by their clients.

ELEANOR TATE TREPTE
Designer
Eleanor Tate Trepte, principal designer, specializes in art curation and selection for clients, alongside the entirety of the design scope. Eleanor, more fondly known as Ellie, grew up outside of Chicago and was thrown into the world of art and fashion at an early age. Her modeling and fashion sphere transitioned into a multifaceted career in the art and design world. As a graduate from New York Institute of Art & Design, Ellie knows all of the ins and outs of the design industry. Before launching Dekay and Tate, Ellie served as gallery director in Palm Beach while continuing her trade as an art dealer based out of Palm Beach and Chicago.
